The Conference Committee of the STAR 2005 Annual Meeting extends a warm welcome to you, and we look forward to seeing you at the Martin-Luther-University of Halle-Wittenberg in the county of Saxonia-Anhalt in Germany, close to places where Wilhelm Wundt and Hermann Ebbinghaus acted in research and teaching. The city of Halle can easily be reached by air-travel through the International Airport of Leipzig/Halle. The Presidential Address will be given by Professor Volker Hodapp. Internationally distinguished speakers, such as Esther Greenglass or Charles Carver will present keynote addresses in the areas of stress, anxiety and coping. In 2005, we would like to focus on sport psychological aspects as well as to clinical and preventional problems of stress, anxiety, anger and related constructs.
Furthermore, new and innovative applied psychotherapy approaches in the treatment of depression or related psychopathological problems will be discussed. Finally, actual research regarding motivation and action control in preventional settings could be one topic in the congress.
